Donnie, 45, tied the knot with Jenny McCarthy, 41, on Sunday at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois, which is just outside her hometown of Chicago.
Among those on the guest list were three members of Donnie's boy band: Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, and Jonathan Knight. McCarthy pal and former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd also attended — and hoped to find love at the reception, tweeting, "I came to this wedding single but I swear I am leaving w a #Wahlberg - hook it up @DonnieWahlberg & @JennyMcCarthy #JennyandDonnielove."
While Donnie's brother Mark opted not to go, recording a video message that he sent instead, his brothers Paul and Jim were there as was their mother, Alma, according to a report in the Sun-Times. A film crew, supposedly for the family's A&E series Wahlburgers, was shooting footage outside the historic hotel.
A day before the nuptials, the bride and groom were snapped by local media entering the hotel together.
The couple began dating last summer. McCarthyannounced their engagement on her former ABC talk show in April, and revealed that her engagement ring was a yellow sapphire.
Both Wahlberg and McCarthy have been married before. The musician and Blue Bloods actor was married to Kim Fey from 1999 to 2008. They share two sons, 21-year-old Xavier and Elijah, 13.
McCarthy has a 12-year-old son, Evan, from her six-year marriage to actor and producer John Asher. She also dated Jim Carrey from 2005-2010.
However, the former Playboy Playmate has noted that her relationship with Wahlberg feels different.
"He's my mirror," she said of Wahlberg in an interview for the fall issue of New You magazine. "Things were always unbalanced in my previous relationships — I've either been a teacher or a student. With Donnie, we're just equal. I have my own identity and goals and he has his, yet we're so similar we work on them together."
"Believe it or not, I think I'm still on The View.
I love the show," she said. "I'm doing so much work to improve myself —
signing up for critical thinking courses and doing all my media
training. I want to be at the top of my game, and when I'm 60 I want to
still have a face that moves. I want to have beautiful, healthy
grandkids and still have Donnie be the hunky love of my life."
She's halfway there.
