Beyoncé
is telling the world how she feels in an emotional short film titled
“Yours and Mine,” released on Friday to celebrate the one-year
anniversary of her self-titled album. The black-and-white, 11-minute
retrospective features video from her visual album, along with Queen
Bey’s candid thoughts about being the in the public eye. “I sometimes
wish I could just be anonymous and walk down the street just like
everyone else,” Beyoncé explains. “Now that I’m famous it’s very, very
difficult to do simple things. I think it’s the hardest thing to give
up, but my mother always taught me to be strong.” The singer also says
in the video, “When you’re famous, no one looks at you as a human
anymore — you become the property of the public; there’s nothing real
about it.”
